INVENTORY HIGHLIGHTS
The buffet table was acquired from the Bombay Company and is an excellent stand-in for the mahogany buffet mentioned in the Canon. A rare gasogene is the pride of my collection, yet another fabulous flea market find! A restored buffet lamp complements both a Dietz dark lantern and an extraordinary Wedgewood rendering of Queen Victoria produced for her jubilee. On the lower shelf is a unique selection of seltzogenes and a
three-bottle tantulus.
  • GASOGENE The predecessor of the seltzer bottle
  • SIDEBOARD Also know as a "buffet" or "breakfast
table made of humble lodging house mahogany."
    (NOBL)
  • TANTALUS "He indicated a spirit case in the
    corner" (SCAN)
  • DARK LANTERN An early flashlight. "Holmes shot
the slide across the front of his lantern." (REDH
